[onwards to a clearing...! It doesn't take them long to find one, at least, and Ange takes a few steps into it before she stretches her arms above her.]
Hmmm...! I quite like it out here in the woods... it is a shame the circumstances are what they are.
[soo-won will manage a smile at that - but then he'll send gulfan back up to the sky before settling himself by a tree, letting his back rest against it. he said he'd rest and so he will]
Mm, that's true.
Do you not get to see nature very often where you're from?
[listen, assuming she knows enough about tactics and warfare to know the difference between troops being mobilized and an outright war...]
I see... well! I am very glad to hear that they are rebuilding, Mister Won. Your home should be a beautiful, peaceful place, for such a kind person as yourself to live in!
[ . . . there's just a little bit of a laugh at that, even though he does look pleased]
... not just for me, but for everyone. Everyone that I've met in my country.... They've all been very kind, and open-hearted. Even though they all look different, from those in the slums to the nobility -
I truly believe that they deserve a life better than what they've received for the better part of a decade.
[Ange stares at him for a long, long moment. Rather than there being something complex in her expression, her expression is actually suddenly rather blank in an odd sort of way.]
week 1, thursday
though when he sees ange, he offers a smile]
Ah - hello, Ange.
no subject
[!!!]
I... are you sure you are all right? I know you were swarmed immediately, but...!
no subject
[he offers up a bit of a smile]
I'm alright. Care to join me for a rest in the forest?
no subject
Yes, I would! Thank you for allowing me to join you.
no subject
Let's go see Gulfan - I think he might miss you.
no subject
Oh, yes, please!
Is Gulfan adjusting all right with your new roommate...?
no subject
[gulfan is a FREE BIRD]
no subject
I suppose I should be grateful I was given the chance to meet him, then!
Who is it you are rooming with this week, though? I am quite curious.
no subject
[TO SAY THE LEAST]
You're with - Homura, yes?
no subject
Oh yes! Miss Homura is very kind. We were surprised at first, but... I am glad that we were surprised together.
I suppose this may happen every week.
no subject
[and soo-won will move to use his right hand, lifting it to the sky in order to summon gulfan down]
Gulfan, Ange's here to see you today.
no subject
She'll even dip a small curtsy to the bird, because. Loser.]
Good day, Gulfan! It is good to see you again.
no subject
but gulfan gives an answering little bird screech at that]
Fufu, how nice. [and he'll let gulfan rest on his shoulder as they walk along]
Now to find a nice clearing...
no subject
Hmmm...! I quite like it out here in the woods... it is a shame the circumstances are what they are.
no subject
Mm, that's true.
Do you not get to see nature very often where you're from?
no subject
Not at all. I live in a very industrialized city, so... this is all quite unusual to me.
I've been enjoying it, though. What about you, Mister Won? Is your home like this?
no subject
Mm, it is - many of the areas between villages are nice and lush like this, or they're open plains, or they're farming fields.
I'm not familiar with all too many of the machines here, I'm afraid.
no subject
Even so, it sounds beautiful. Occasionally I wonder what it must be like in the countryside--and it must be like that.
It sounds so peaceful and quiet. [ha ha]
no subject
Well... there are a few battles now and again but -
Yes, I do think that overall the country has gotten to be peaceful. We're in the middle of rebuilding and... for that much, I'm quite grateful.
I hope the prosperity will only continue to grow.
no subject
And, in a hushed tone:]
Was there a war?
no subject
[the fire tribe uprising, the invasion by li hazara, the almost invasion of xing, the destruction of the forts in sei....]
no subject
I see... well! I am very glad to hear that they are rebuilding, Mister Won. Your home should be a beautiful, peaceful place, for such a kind person as yourself to live in!
no subject
... not just for me, but for everyone. Everyone that I've met in my country.... They've all been very kind, and open-hearted. Even though they all look different, from those in the slums to the nobility -

[2/2]
Mister Won... that is a beautiful dream. If my own home had more people like you, well... so many people would have had a happy life!
It is not often that you meet someone who feels that everyone deserves to be happy.
